The weather forecast for Sindh, including Karachi, doesn’t look too sunny from February 29 to March 02. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and the possibility of hailstorms during this period.

According to the PMD, a strong westerly wave is expected to approach western parts on February 29, spreading across the country until March 02. This weather system brings with it the likelihood of widespread heavy rain, thunderstorms, and even snowfall in various regions.

In Balochistan, places like Nokkundi, Dalbandin, and Quetta are expected to experience heavy rainfall from February 29 to March 01. Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, including cities like Peshawar and Mardan, should brace for heavy rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall from February 29 to March 03.

Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir are also in the weather’s crosshairs, with heavy rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall predicted in areas like Skardu, Gilgit, and Neelum Valley from February 29 to March 03.

Punjab and Islamabad are not spared either, with the PMD forecasting widespread heavy rain, thunderstorms, and even snowfall in Murree and Galyat on March 01 and 02. Other cities like Lahore, Faisalabad, and Sargodha are also likely to experience the downpour during this period.

Sindh, including Karachi, is not exempt from the weather drama. Rain, wind, and thunderstorms are expected in various cities like Sukkur, Larkana, and Hyderabad on February 29 and March 01, with the possibility of isolated hailstorms.

The PMD warns of potential flash floods, road closures, and landslides in different regions. Residents are advised to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions. Travelers are urged to avoid unnecessary journeys, while farmers are reminded to protect their crops. The concerned authorities are also advised to stay alert and take necessary measures to minimize any potential risks during this forecasted period.
