Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad was arrested by Islamabad police in early hours of Thursday. Yesterday the Federal Investigation authority raided lal haveli, the residential place of Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad.
According to the allegations made against Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad, he made false accusations against former President Asif Ali Zardari. Confirming the incident, the nephew of Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad told media that he was arrested from his house in private housing society in Islamabad.
Vice President of PPP Rawalpindi, Raja Inayat Ur Rehman filed a complaint against Sheikh Rasheed that he said in a television show that Asif Ali Zardari assisted a terrorist for attacking Imran khan. The chairman of Pakistan Tehreek E Insaf, Imran khan also said in a TV interview that former president is involved in this terrorist attack on him. But he didn’t disclosed any evidences.

The FIR report is written under the section 120-B of criminal conspiracy and 153-A of promoting enmity between different groups. According to the statement given by Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad, around 400 police soldiers forcefully bragged into his house, tortured his family and took him away. He said that some of the police entered his house by using ladders and this is totally illegal when he got relief from Islamabad high court.
PTI officials shared his video on twitter in which he is saying that, police forcefully took him away and interior minister Rana Sanaullah is behind all this incident, we have never seen such a vicious, and cruel caretaker government in the history of Pakistan.
Court notice to Islamabad police
The court also issued notice to Islamabad police in order to make a senior official responsible for all the investigation and report it to court. Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad also challenged his arrest as it is just the planning of imported government.

Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad also moved a case to Lahore high court about illegal consumption of his personal place in lal haveli. The federal investigation authority claimed that it is government property that AML leader is occupying illegally. The court delayed the hearing till February 6th.
