punjab government launches bike scheme for students
Getting to school or college just got easier for students in Punjab, thanks to a new plan by the government. They’re offering 20,000 bikes for students to buy in small, easy payments.
Here’s how it works
In the first part of the plan, they’ll give out 19,000 regular bikes and 1,000 electric bikes. The government is helping out by paying a big part of the costs. They’re giving 1 billion rupees to help with the extra money you pay each month, called “markup.” Plus, they’re putting down 20,000 rupees for each bike as a start.
For male students
The monthly payment will be about 11,676 rupees. Female students will pay a bit less, around 7,325 rupees each month. They’ll give out the bikes first in busy cities like Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi, and Lahore, where more students need them.
This plan is for students in both public and private universities and colleges. If you’re interested, you need to hurry. The deadline to apply is April 29th. It’s a great chance for students to get affordable transportation to help them with their studies.
