Police arrested senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Shehryar Afridi after crackdown intensifies against violence done on May 9, Sindh Government also declared tight actions against the PTI leaders and workers.
Police arrested Shehryar Afridi in the early hours of today morning, his arrest is a continuation of the authorities’ ongoing crackdown against the party which was involved in intensifying protests and violence on May 9 when PTI chairman Imran Khan was arrested.

Section 3 Arrest of Leader
The PTI Minister Shehryar Afridi was arrested under Section 3 of Maintenance of Public Order from Islamabad Sector F-8, while Fayaz ul Hassan Chohan was also arrested by the police from Murree Road.
A large force of police was deployed to prevent protests from any kind of violent activity. An investigation case is also registered against Fayaz ul Hassan Chohan accusing him of arson and inciting worlers during protests.
Fayaz ul Hassan Chohan is also accused of burning and vandalising the metro station on Sixth road, later he was granted bail by Anti-Terrorism court till May 18.
PTI leaders including Asad Umar, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Fawad Chohdary, Ejaz Chohdary, Ali Muhammad Khan, Jamshed Iqbal Cheema, and Omar Sarfraz Cheema all of whom have been taken into custody after violence.

Party’s women leaders including Dr Shireen Mazari, Dr Yasmin Rashid, Maleeka Bukhari and others are also nabbed under the same accusation.
