Pakistan Muslim League N government is ready to go home before completing the tenure. The Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef announced the decision while addressing the young students at Government College Womens University in Sialkot.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef announced that coalition parties will dissolve the National Assembly before the completion of its tenure. He said, “Next month our government will complete its tenure. We leave before the completion of our tenure and an intern government will come”.

Although the statement of Prime Minister is contrary to his previous statement in which he said that his government would complete its tenure.
Elections date in Pakistan
Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef said that the Coalition government’s tenure will end on August 14, 2023 and then the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will announce the date of elections in October or November.
The statement showed that current rulers are not ready to dissolve assemblies before expiry date which is 14 August but the final decision is yet to come.
The general elections take place after 60 days of the National Assembly dissolves or completes its Constitutional tenure. However, if the government dissolves the lower house of parliament before completing tenure then the polls date can be extended to 90 days of gap.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef also talked about the tenure of former Prime Minister Imran Khan saying that, he was brought to power through fraud elections, he kept on chanting corruption during his four years but did not prove them.
