Pakistani Artist Misha Shares How Gigi Helped Her
2020 has been a trying year for everyone. No one has been spared from the mental as well as the financial challenges thrown by the pandemic-ridden weird 12 months. Artists, daily wagers have all faced the ire of lockdowns.
So when Misha Japanwala, artist and designer shared her Covid struggles and the help she received from Gigi Hadid, the fans were overjoyed.
Japanwala took to Instagram where she posted how she was struggling to get work and did not have enough to meet the expenses and her collaboration with famous model Gigi Hadid.
She wrote that: “When the pandemic hit, I lost my full-time job in fashion (and along with it the visa that was keeping me in the country/my health insurance/my income) and was at an all-time low.”
“It hadn’t even been a month since getting laid off when @gigihadid reached out asking to collaborate on this piece,” she added after posting a picture of her wearing a sculptured mask.

“It was an unbelievable blessing during a really dark time, and will always have a special place in the heart because of that,” the designer wrote.
Replying to her post, Gigi Hadid shared her post and sent her love for the acknowledgment.
Japanwala and Hadid partnered up for the model’s Gigi Journal Part II where she used the former’s work as well along with other global artists as well.
Hadid is a supermodel working for world-renowned brands and is in a relationship with Pakistan-origin singer Zayn Malik. The couple is parents to a beautiful daughter as well.
Hadid and Zayn welcomed their baby daughter in September this year.
