Pakistan Win Over Nepal in Thrilling U19 World Cup Clash

In an exciting match at the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2023, Pakistan emerged victorious against Nepal by five wickets. The clash took place at Buffalo Park in East London, where Nepal chose to bat first but were dismissed for 197 runs.

Bipin Rawal, Nepal’s opener, showed resilience with his 39 runs off 68 balls, including four boundaries and a six. Deepak Dumre and captain Dev Khanal contributed with scores of 26 and 23 respectively.


Pakistan’s Arafat Minhas led the bowling attack, taking three wickets for just 23 runs in his 10 overs. Ubaid Shah and Ahmad Hassan also played very well and managed to secure two wickets each.

In pursuit of the 198-run target, Pakistan showcased their batting prowess reaching the goal in 47.4 overs with five wickets in hand. Azan Awais stood out with an unbeaten half-century. The opening pair of Shamyl Hussain and Shahzaib Khan, who had impressed with a century in the campaign opener against Afghanistan, added 37 runs each to the scoreboard.

Nepal’s Aakash Chand gave a notable performance and also managed to take three wickets. However, it was not enough to stop Pakistan from securing the win. Pakistan won the match with full grace.
