Pakistan Opposition Demands Fresh Elections, Plans Protests

PTI works to establish an effective protest network across Pakistan on February 8 because it sees the 2024 election results as intentionally distorted. PTI announced February 8 as Black Day to hold protests between Swabi and Peshawar while matching in Lahore.

According to PTI the last year’s elections disregarded people’s voting power and instead supported Khan during his prime minister term. PTI will host mass demonstrations against the government system because they believe Imran Khan and other jailed politicians were mistreated based on false accusations of involvement in the May 9, 2023 riots.

The PTI party along with JUI-F, APA work together to suggest completing elections from start and ending current assemblies. According to PTI leader Asad Qaiser at his recent gathering opposition leaders agreed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif does not govern legitimately.

Many observers see problems ahead for the ruling party because its main support partner is unhappy with how the government performs its duties.
