During their meeting, Ishaq Dar, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, and Bakary Yaou Sangare, his counterpart in Nigerien, covered a wide variety of topics and reiterated their commitment to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic sphere.

At the 15th Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit in Banjul, The Gambia, Dar reportedly met with Bakary Yaou Sangare, the foreign minister of Niger, according to local media. A representative from Pakistan’s foreign office made the announcement in a statement that was published on Saturday.

In addition to discussing the possibility of coordinating within the framework of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), they reached an agreement to continue working closely together in order to advance the collective interest both within the OIC and beyond.

Ishaq Dar praised Niger for its principled stance on the Kashmir dispute as well as its support for Pakistan on a variety of regional and global platforms throughout the world.
