New Chief Commissioner of Islamabad

Captain R Noor ul Amin Mengal is appointed as new chief commissioner officer of Islamabad. He is a BPS-20 officer of Administrative Group of Pakistan (PAG). The establishment office issued a notice of his appointment today morning. The ex-officer is transferred to Capital Development Authority (CDA) as per section 6(2) of CDA ordinance.

Noor ul Amin has served as Deputy Commissioner Lahore and Faisalabad, he also set up Punjab food authority. According to sources, he is one of the competent and trustworthy officer of Muhammad Shahbaz Shareef. He also served as commissioner of Rawalpindi in his tenure.

First Chief Commissioner from Baluchistan

It is first time in the history when someone from Baluchistan is appointed on key position as Chief Commissioner Islamabad. In the past five months, federal capital Islamabad has faced really slow outcome and city rehabilitation completely stopped.

With the start of new caretaker CM, there is no announcement of new projects, however all old projects are directed to be completed on time. With the start of PML-N government, some new projects were announced but not completed yet because of increasing terrorism and economy downfall of country.

The Prime Minister was not satisfied with work of outgoing chairman, so he transferred him. Sources says that the outgoing chief commissioner had connections with high powers and some second hands in his appointment as chief commissioner. The residents of Islamabad were also not satisfied with work of outgoing chief commissioner of Islamabad.

It is also reported that outgoing chairman has close ties with caretaker CM Punjab, he is expected to be transferred as secretary of caretaker CM Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi but the news is not confirmed yet.
