Multan was once again added
When the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Friday that the top T20 competition would take place from February 9 to March 19 of next year, Multan was once again added to the sites along with Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.
Multan was formerly listed as a location for the 2020 edition but was eventually removed from the list owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The HBL Pakistan Super League’s governing board met at the National High Performance Center on Friday to make the choices.
Along with PCB representatives who are also members of the GC, all six franchises were represented. The meeting was presided over by PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja.

Successful and Record-breaking HBL PSL 7
“The meeting commended the GC on a tremendously successful and record-breaking HBL PSL 7, the first match to be held in Pakistan without interruption since the league’s inception in 2016. Despite substantial outside obstacles, the tournament was successfully organised, and the two action-packed leagues in Karachi and Lahore contributed to record viewership and income, according to a PCB press statement.
There were some significant discussions regarding the HBL PSL’s future schedule. The HBL PSL 8 will take place from February 9 to March 19, 2023, as was decided. The matches will be held in at least four locations, including Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Multan. The teams and the PCB will hold more conversations to finalise the specific schedule as soon as possible, it was stated.
