The Biparjoy Cyclone is expected to reach Gujarat and Karachi in Pakistan with maximum sustained wind speed of 125-135 km per hour, gusting to 150 km per hour. The weather department has warned people about heavy rain and tough climatic conditions.
The Sindh Health department also notified people about the risk of mobile network shutting down during rains. Authorities also evacuated thousands of people from vulnerable areas.

Health department also alerted all medical staff and doctors, warning people to stay indoors, as 60mm-100mm rains could hit the province.
Traffic Jams Expected
Traffic jams may occur on highways due to poor drainage conditions. There are also fears that the roads might be blocked due to rainwater as heavy rains are expected in various cities of Pakistan.
The department added that people should avoid going near to poles and electricity wires, and in case of emergency, people can call 1092 at any time of the day.
