Judicial Reference against Chief Justice

An all-out war has been started between Government of Pakistan and Supreme Court. The Pakistan National Assembly approved a resolution against the Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial.

The government decided to file a judicial reference against Chief Justice of Pakistan, the resolution approved by National Assembly calls for formation of five-member committee to file reference against Judges of Supreme Court.

Shahbaz Sharif government decided to launch a crackdown against the Supreme Court with complete law following the case of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s bail. The legal team of PML-N is working on the reference submission soon.

Supreme Court against Pakistan Government

Supreme Court of Pakistan is also hearing the case related to election delay in country. The three-member bench including Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan, Justice Munib Akhtar and CJ Umar Ata Bandial looked over the way political power being used in country negatively.

CJP Umar Ata Bandial slapped the federal government saying that they should have come to court on such matter but they did not. He derided the violence that was going on across the country.

CJP Umar Ata Bandial remarked, ‘The National institutions and assets were being burned. Look outside, the installation are being set on fire’.

While PDM is protesting outside the Supreme court against the bail of former Prime Minister Imran Khan even when he was arrested by NAB according to law in Al-Qadir trust case.
