China is ready to send its first civilian astronaut into space as part of Crewed mission to the Tiangong space station as it pursues its ambitious plans for manned lunar landing by 2030.

China is currently the second largest economy in the World, country has invested billions of dollar in its military-run space programme. The programme tried to catch up with the United States and Russia after years of belatedly matching their milestones.
People’s Liberation Army
All Chinese astronauts sent into space have been part of People’s Liberation Army. The scientific experiments on the space station will be managed by Gui Haichao, Professor at Beijing’s Beihang University.
The mission of Space Station will “carry out large-scale, in-orbit experiments. During the study of novel quantum phenomena, high precision space time-frequency systems, the verification of general relativity, and the origin of life”, Lin Xiqiang said.
Gui Haichao said, “I have always had this dream”. The outstanding space master belongs to an ordinary family in the province of Yunnan. He felt his attraction towards Space while listening to news about China’s first man in Space.

It is the first time that, China is sending an official specialist scientist in Space as an independent analyst. The previous mission only carried astronauts trained as pilots and not as scientists.
