The Islamabad police arrested the driver of vehicle involved in accident of Mufti Abdul Shakoor, Minister of Religious Affairs. Mufti Abdul Shakoor died yesterday in a car accident in Islamabad.
The Secretariat police station also registered First Information Report (FIR) against the driver Rao Gul Khan on the complaint of Haji Qudratullah, leader of Jamiat Ulema e Islam (JUI-F).

Rao Gul Khan was driving Hilux Rive at a very high speend when it rushed into the car of Religious Affairs Minister Mufti Abdul Shakoor.
Two Days Remand for Driver
Police took Rao Gul Khan into custody and presented him to magistrate office where magistrar ordered his remand for two days in police custody.
Mufti Abdul Shakoor was laid to rest at Tajbikhel area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Many politicians and lawmakers attended his funeral prayers at Lakki Marwat District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The FIR complaint was submitted by Mufti Qudratullah as Mufti Abdul Shakoor had come to his house for Iftar and then he left for Parliament Lodges at 8:22. At 10 O’clock, hia servant informed him about the accident.
The FIR complaint explained, “The incident is of a very sensitive nature and action should be taken keeping all aspects in mind”. Mufti Abdul Shakoor was in his official vehicle when his car was hit by a Hilux vehicle with five passengers in it.
All the five passengers of Hilux are taken in custody. According to the passengers, driver is solely responsible for the accident.

Mufti Abdul Shakoor was a well known personality and vocal JUI-F leader famous for hia rivalry speeches against PTI. He became the member of National Assembly after winning the saet of NA-51 in 2018.
