Fans disappointed after Resident Evil teaser misses out Ahad Raza Mir

Actor Ahad Raza Mir sparked excitement amongst his fans after Variety announced that he’s going to be featured in the upcoming Resident Evil series. The production is set to release on July 14. The official teaser came out on Thursday, and fans hit the play button to see their favorite actor but ended up being disappointed. The teaser had no sign of Ahad Raza Mir at all. Fans are now holding onto their seats, waiting for the release of the show this summer.

The teaser for the video game adaptation featured some startling action sequences as time skips from 2022 to 2036 — 14 years into the future. The Aangan actor shared the teaser on his Instagram and attached Netflix’s official caption to it.

“Nothing eventful ever happens in the peaceful New Raccoon City. The legendary franchise Resident Evil brings its battle for survival to Netflix on July 14,” he captioned.

The teaser opens with Albert Wesker from season one moving to New Raccoon City with his daughters. The teaser picks up the pace when a rat testing at a laboratory enters the picture. The rats get violent, and the world transforms. The next thing you know, it’s all bomb blasts, guns firing, people screaming, and blood splattering all over as the words “Evil has evolved” flash on the screen. The one thing it doesn’t feature is our very own Ahad Raza Mir.

The Resident Evil series is based on a Japanese video game series of the same name. However, this time around, it will tell a brand new story. The character of Albert Wesker is played by American actor Lance Reddick. Other cast members include Tamara Smart, Ella Balinska, Siena Agudong, and Adeline Rudolph, amongst others.

The Resident Evil franchise consists of a number of action-horror movies starring actors Milla Jovovich (Alice) and Michelle Rodriguez (Claire Redfield), a commando team who must break into a vast underground genetics laboratory where a virus has been unleashed, turning people into the “undead.”
