Pakistan‘s superstar, actor and singer Fawad Khan starrer critically acclaimed film, The Legend of Maula Jatt is finally set to release in Indian cinema on 2nd October. This has been confirmed by the announcement made by the film’s producers on their official Instagram page.

The film is a remake of the 1979 cult classic Maula Jatt and released all over Pakistan in 2022 becoming a massive hit in the country. The remake is directed by Bilal Lashari and stars Fawad Khan in the lead role of the iconic Maula Jatt, alongside the beautiful actress Mahira Khan and actor Hamza Ali Abbasi. The movie has gained major attraction from the audience for the amazing production and gripping storyline.

The producers of the film have promised to list out the cinema halls where the movie would be screened in India. The Legend of Maula Jatt has gathered both critical and commercial success in Pakistan reviving the legendary rivalry between Maula Jatt (Fawad Khan) and  Noori Nath (Hamza Ali Abbasi), roles originally played by Sultan Rahi and Mustafa Qureshi in the 1979 original film. 

The 2022 remake faced a delayed release of 2 years as the original filmmaker and producer Sarwer Bhatti filed cases against the producers of the film. Although the cases were withdrawn by Bhatti, he denied any rumours of financial settlement between him and the producers of the Fawad Khan starrer. He later stated that his decision to withdraw the cases was for the welfare of cinema.

Bilal Lishari, the director stated that unlike its predecessor that was directed to the Punjab audience only, The Legend of Maula Jatt is going to cater to an international audience.
