An Anti-terrorism court in Islamabad issued a bailable arrest warrant for Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan in a judicial complex attack case.
The Anti-terrorism judge heard the case of Imran Khan registered in the police station Ramna. The judge expressed serious annoyance over the continuous absence of Imran Khan from court.

The Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf lawyer Sardar Masroof was present in the hearing. He told the judge that Imran Khan is not able to attend the hearings as he had to be present at Lahore High Court for proceedings.
Exemption plea from PTI
PTI lawyer Sardar Masroof filed an exemption plea on behalf of Imran Khan, in which he sought one day exemption from personal appearance in court. The judge ordered Imran Khan to appear before court in the next hearing.
The next proceedings are adjourned till July 19, 2023. The Anti-terrorism court also issued an arrest warrant against Farukh Habib, Hassan Niazi and Shibli Faraz.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) also issued non-bailable arrest warrants for PTI chairman Imran Khan, and Fawad Chohdary in cases against the contempt of the electoral body.
