UAE always believed in diversity and remained committed to mutual respect, dignity, and diversity for people from different religions. It opened its first mutual praying house named as Abraham Family House, consisting of a mosque, church, and synagogue. This house also consists of the cultural center to welcome tourists who come, learn and engage in dialogues to understand the importance of diversity in culture and religions.
President Sheikh Muhammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan said that UAE has a proud history of people from different backgrounds, cultures, and religions working together to create new possibilities. He wrote on Twitter that, “As the Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi is inaugurated we remain committed to Harnessing the power of mutual respect, understanding and diversity to achieve shared progress”.

Inside Abraham House Details
House has three worship eras, named as Imam Al Tayeb Mosque, St Francis Church for Christians and Moses Ben Maimon for Synagogue. This Arabic Family House is design for all the different communities to pray in their prayer places. One of the part is dedicated for cultural community, to welcome tourists in learning and gaining knowledge about culture and history.
The Abraham Family House is designed by Ghanaian British Architect Sir David Adjaye, it captures the values between Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Abu Dhabi’s Government shared their view on Abraham Family House saying that it recounts the historical relationship and it will help in building bridges between human civilizations and heavenly messages.
Earlier this project was announced in 2019 under the regime of Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed. This Family House will be opened for public from 1st March and visitors will be allowed from 10 a.m. onwards, residents and all the tourists will have to make booking prior the visit. According to the official social media handle of Abraham Family house, it is a place to “Practice Faith and reflect”, where people can share and explore knowledge.

This family house shows the importance of diversity and religious difference that UAE acknowledges and respect. UAE government and people always encouraged people to exemplify human fraternity and solidarity. UAE aimed to build a community that cherishes the values of mutual respect and peaceful coexistence along with preserving unique characters of all the faiths.
