NADRA Revises B-Form Registration Fees and Process for December 2024

For the Pakistani families, NADRA has revolutionized the B-form registration through its new settings. In this latest announcement made by the National Database and Registration Authority, new and easier procedures for application and issuance child registration certificates with easy fee structure have been provided. This critical development is to reduce the complexity of the administrative procedures, promote early and easy enrolment of the youths in the national data base as a positive stride to easing the national identity management system.

Similarly, NADNA has recently offered two service options for B-form registration that satisfy both parental requirements and the cost factor as well. The basic registration service continues to cost a locally affordable Rs 50 making it possible for most families to afford. Customers who want their documents processed as soon as possible can opt for the executive service for an additional Rs 500.

The registration process has been developed to be as easily accessible as possible, but at the same time, the process of verification is as strict as possible. Only one parent must have a valid NIC or NICOP and the applicant must provide a computerized birth certificate from the relevant Union Council. This approach is useful in the right authentication while at the same time having a simple application of the same.

Currently, children who are 10 years and above must supply further identification in the application involving photographs as well as fingerprints. NADRA highly suggests that children must be registered as soon as within three months from their birth to enhance the accuracy and time of recording the child in the national database. In cases where only one parent is present then the verification can be done by a Gazetted Officer or a public figure.

The authority insists on the necessity of having full parent identification and, at the same time, admitting the ability to have versatile procedures in this matter. Where both parents are present, one applies as the main applicant while the other applies as a referee, making the process of child identification strong while also being accurate and easily accessible.
