Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan divorce rumours: The long-running divorce rumours between Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan have been boosted by a recent incident and event. The actress’ name appeared on the projected screen without the surname Bachchan when she recently attended an event in Dubai.
Aishwarya was in Dubai recently for the Global Women’s Forum. A video of the event, in which the global star talks about creativity and perseverance, is making the rounds on the internet. While all hell is breaking loose in response to her remarks, an IANS report claims that the issue that has everyone’s attention is the deletion of Aishwarya’s surname at the Dubai event.
When the ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ actress appeared separately at a high-profile wedding with her Aaradhya daughter Abhishek, along with her family Amitabh Bachchan, Shweta Nanda Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, rumours that trouble was brewing in Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan’s paradise began to circulate.
The rumours were then fuelled when Abhishek liked an Instagram post hinting at a divorce.
Amitabh Bachchan responds to the speculation
Although the couple have never spoken publicly about it, Amitabh Bachchan responded to the divorce speculation with a blog post: ‘It takes immense courage, conviction and sincerity to be different and believe in your presence in life…. I rarely talk about my family, because it’s my domain and I respect its privacy…’.
Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan recently praised Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in an interview. He said in an interview with The Hindu that he felt really lucky that Aishwarya Rai was there with their daughter Aaradhya, giving her his undivided attention, as he left for work. ‘I’m very lucky to be able to go out and make films. But I know that Aishwarya is at home with Aaradhya, and I thank her very much for that. But I don’t think children see it that way. They don’t see you in the third person. They look at you in the first person – you are the parent, the father or the mother,’ he said.
