Musk said in a tweet that, ‘I am excited to welcome Lina Yaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter !. Linda will focus primarily on Business operations, while I focus on product design and new technology”.
Company’s poor performance
When Musk got Twitter in October, company lost 80% of it’s employees, more than half of advertisers also fled the social media platform, worried that their ads could appear next to inappropriate content.
Twitter suffered a massive decline in ad revenue. This trajectory will immediately take a 180-degree turn under the new leadership as Linda is one of the best option for correct management of the platform.
Elon Musk further said that, “I think Yaccarino has climbed every mountain she could at NBCU and did it impeccably well. There is no greater challenge than restoring order at Twitter”.
