Pakistan setup relief fund for Turkey Earthquake

Pakistan announced relief fund for helping Turkish people in earthquake. Government setting up a relief fund and also sent 51 members rescue team to Istanbul. Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef also left for Istanbul today.

The Federal Cabinet meeting took the decision of setting up fund relief for brother country. The members of cabinet also decided to donate one month salary to the fund. The senior government officials above grade 18 will also donate one day’s salary.

Funds for Muslim brothers

Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef appealed to people of Pakistan to donate more funds for Muslim brothers who are in crises right now. Cabinet meeting discussed the time when Turkey was in front to help people of Pakistan in last devastating floods.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef said that, scenes of death and destruction were heart wrenching. Rescue teams are immediately dispatched to Turkey for relief work. He assured that Pakistan would help Turkey and Syria to every possible end.

He said that Turkey helped Pakistan in every difficult situation and Pakistani people are very close to Turkish people. We are ready to provide all kind of assistance for Turkey and Syria.

He added that PIA, PAF, paramedical staff and doctor’s team have been sent for Turkey. A PIA spokesperson also tweeted that PK-707 departed from Lahore to Istanbul with rescue team and special equipment for help. He said that another flight of Boeing 777 would take off from Islamabad to Damascus.

The spokesperson said that PIA operated special flights towards Istanbul on daily basis. It would be available for all the rescue help and relief assistance.
