Pakistan’s showbiz fraternity sides by Imran Khan

Pakistani celebrities are going gaga on a rather eventful day in the history of our country’s politics.

The happening day started off with the deputy speaker national assembly rubbishing the vote of the no-confidence motion against PM Imran Khan, followed by a speech by the PM himself, saying that he was dissolving the national assembly and going for early elections.

With a series of ‘surprises,’ Pakistani showbiz celebrities were also stuck to their TV sets, reacting to the ongoing political conundrum in the country.

Khuda Aur Muhabbat actor Feroze Khan was amongst the first to share the news of Imran Khan escaping the no-trust move.

Taking to his Instagram, Feroze wrote, “Imran Khan is one heck of a politician. I absolutely loved how everyone turned their back on him but he had the triumph. Allah is enough as a protector alone.”

Saba Qamar also joined the bandwagon to showcase her support, captioning her post: “PM Imran Ahmad Khan Niazi!”

Faysal Quraishi is an avid social media user who is vocal about social stigmas in society.

The Bashar Momin actor, taking to his Twitter, tweeted, “Pakistan Zindabad and Pakistanis Zindabad. We will stand with Prime Minister Imran Khan.”

Actor Shaan Shahid extended his support to the premier in a tweet, writing: “And we all thought you were a cricketer. However, you are the best political mind in our country. What an inswinging yorker wherein you got 3 wickets with 1 ball.”

Zara Noor Abbas and Sana Javed also turned to Instagram to root for the premier.

On Sunday, Pakistan saw the most eventful weekend in its political history as the deputy speaker disallowed the no-trust vote against PM Khan.

The premier sprang his surprise on the opposition by announcing to dissolve the assemblies and asking citizens to prepare for early polls.
