Pakistan, on Sunday, officially revealed its pavilion and logo for Expo 2020 Dubai, the biggest pavilion ever constructed outside the South Asian country.
Pakistan aims to project a “modern, beautiful, and a progressive Pakistan,” the country’s commerce minister said.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting launched Pakistan’s pavilion, on Sunday, and also unveiled the logo for Expo 2020 Dubai that is to be held under the theme of “The Hidden Treasure”.
Fawad Chaudhary said that the future of Pakistan is linked with the narrative presented at the Expo. He said that those days are gone when the name of Pakistan was linked to terror and fright.
He was briefing the media in Karachi on the curtain-raiser event, where he said that the event held a great opportunity for Pakistan to present to the world about its immense potential and Pakistan’s “hidden treasure”.

He also said that the information ministry will offer help ensuring the pavilion is a success. He praised the team for creating a remarkable design for the pavilion.
Delayed by the COVID-19 outbreak, the UAE is organising the Expo from October 01, 2021, to March 31, 2022, in Dubai. About 192 countries are taking part in the event.
CEO of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, Arif Ahmed Khan, said that the private sector had provided more than one billion rupees for the development of the pavilion.
Commerce minister Abdul Razzak Dawood thanked the government of UAE for holding this important international event and gathering under Expo 2020. He said that this “wonderful event” gets all the countries together in one place.
The Pakistan pavilion was handed over to Pakistani authorities officially in March this year following the completion of its construction work at the Expo 2020 Dubai site. The pavilion is located in the Opportunity District and it costs $28.72 million.
