Google has launched the program of 44,500 scholarships by the end of 2023 for Pakistani citizens who want to learn latest digital skills. The scholarships will help students to learn courses of Google Career Certificates (GCC).
The announcement of Google scholarships was made in an event which was attended by various Information Technology experts and Telecommunication Minister Syed Aminul Haq.

GCC Scholarships Benefits
The initiatives like GCC Scholarships will help creating more opportunities for people from different backgrounds and groups to gain updated skills and access to digital jobs and opportunities.
Google Pakistan Country Director Farhan Qureshi also talked in the event saying, “Google is committed to helping build an inclusive digital economy in Pakistan throughbits programmes, products and services”.
As the Number three freelance economy is the World, Digital skills are hight sought after in Pakistan, he added.
The scholarship will help people in getting latest qualifications online for jobs that are currently in demand, high paid and high growth. The world is growing fastly with technology and Pakistan needs to work more efficiently to be in race.
The Scholarship will also include three new courses, including Business Intelligence, Advanced Data Analytics, and Cybersecurity. Minister of Telecommunication said that, We will help fully to support Google’s efforts in this GCC programme.

He further said, “This initiative aligns with our vision of creating an ecosystem that enables the potential of the digital economy and provides equal opportunity to all Pakistanis. We especially are appreciative of Google’s focus on distributing 50pc scholarships to women”.
