The complainant stated that the person claimed to be an accountant in the education department, where job vacancies were available. In exchange for helping her getting a job, the suspect requested Rs50,000 from the girl.
The complainant further revealed that the suspect asked her to come to Rawalpindi, and she arrived there on Wednesday, July 12. On the same day, she shared her location with him, and they met at the last bus stop of Tench Bhatta, a neighborhood in Rawalpindi.
At that meeting, she handed over her CV and Rs30,000, with the remaining Rs20,000 to be paid after receiving the “written order of employment.”
According to her account, the suspect picked her up from the last bus stop of Tench Bhatta and took her to Trail 3 of Margalla Hills, an old hiking track that starts from Margalla Road in F-6 and leads to Viewpoint, on a motorcycle.
She reported that the suspect then took her into the jungle, where he raped her at gunpoint around 3 pm on Thursday, July 13.
The complainant mentioned that the suspect threatened to kill her if she made any noise, leaving her terrified and silent.
Afterward, the suspect dropped her off at the last bus stop of Tench Bhatta, reiterating his threats.
The complainant has demanded “strict” legal action against the suspect and requested a medical checkup. She was subsequently taken to Polyclinic, accompanied by a lady constable, for the medical examination.
F-9 Park Rape Case
This incident serves as a grim reminder of a previous rape case that occurred in Islamabad’s F-9 Park, where a woman was raped at gunpoint in February.
In that case, the complainant stated that she had visited the park with a male colleague when they were stopped by two armed men who took them to a nearby jungle.
The shocking attack in a park within the capital city raised concerns about women’s safety in the country.
