uae welcomes 16th group of palestinian patients for medical care
On April 27, 2024, the 16th group of Wounded Palestinian children and Cancer Patients arrived in the UAE. This initiative is part of a program directed by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to provide medical treatment for 1,000 injured children and 1,000 cancer patients from the Gaza Strip in UAE hospitals.
The plane carrying 25 patients and 51 family members departed from Al Arish International Airport in Egypt and landed at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi. Once on the ground, the medical teams acted quickly to ensure those in need of urgent medical care were transported to hospitals. Meanwhile, others and their companions were taken to their temporary residences in the Emirates Humanitarian City.
The UAE’s Hospitals are Well Known for their High Standard of Care and are Fully Equipped to Handle the Complex needs of injured Children and Cancer Patients. The UAE’s Leadership has a Strong Tradition of Humanitarian Aid and Solidarity with those in Need which is Reflected in this initiative.
