The Pakistan Embassy in the United Arab Emirates organized a significant reception event in Abu Dhabi to celebrate Pakistan’s National Day. Sheikh Nahayan bin Mabarak Al Nahyan served as the main guest of honor, along with Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, in an important event.
Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi explained the nation’s historical background of the Pakistan Resolution while sharing opportunities:
- Pakistan’s substantial youth population
- Growing participation of women in public life
- Agricultural potential
- Rich cultural heritage
- Expanding tourism sector
- Rapidly growing IT industry
The Ambassador shows that Pakistan wants to build wealth and reach UN Sustainable Development goals. As part of his speech, he demanded an immediate halt to fighting in Gaza and stood firm on Pakistan’s support for UN Security Council rules to resolve both Palestinian and Jammu and Kashmir strife.
Ambassador Tirmizi thanked the United Arab Emirates for achieving exceptional economic gains since its founding and praised the leadership of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Pakistani artists used traditional music instruments to play the national anthems of both countries as the Pakistani flag brightened up the hotel throughout Abu Dhabi. The Embassy planned a book launch event of “Sheikh Zayed Maimaar-e-Watan” which Khan Zaman Suroor wrote about the UAE’s founding father. At the gathering, Mr. Adnan Niaz earned the Sitara-i-Imtiaz prize, which he received personally from the government.
