A large ceremony was held in the United Arab Emirates to celebrate the 77th birthday of Pakistan as a free state. More than 10,000 people attended; guests included key dignitaries from the UAE and Pakistan.

UAE, Pakistan: Close Friends Come Closer

The party indeed manifested that the UAE and Pakistan are getting closer to being the best of friends. They have been cooperating with each other on so many aspects like cultural exchange, business, and political matters.

Too Close Friendship

The UAE and Pakistan are old friends. When the UAE emerged as a nation in 1971, Pakistan happened to be one of those nations that rushed to greet and invite the country to become their friend. This relationship was initiated by the first president of UAE, Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan.

UAE to Help Pakistan in Economic Development

The UAE recently offered $10 billion to the country to help strengthen its businesses and the economy at large. This shows that indeed UAE is interested in Pakistan doing well.

Fun and Excitement at the Social

This did not mean that the birthday event was all serious stuff. There were loads of fun, too. They could watch Pakistani dances and listen to Pakistani music. People could see beautiful things made by Pakistani artists.

In the party, there were given some awards of very special Pakistani people. They have achieved exceptionally good work in sports, business, and welfare. For example, a mountaineer lady who climbed very tall mountains, and a restaurateur man making delicious food got awards.

Looking to More Good Times

Speaking at the occasion, the leaders of both Pakistan and the UAE stressed their wish to continue being friends. They feel cooperation will help them make their nations and, indeed, the world better.
