Social media networking sites including Facebook, Twitter and Youtube are still blocked in Pakistan. Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) says no instructions received on restoring social media platforms.
A spokesperson for telecommunication authority said, there is no instructions for restoring social media sites.

The spokesperson said that mobile internet services have been restored across the country. He said that we will open the services of social networking sites as soon as we get the instructions.

The goverent restricted the mobile internet services across the country and also prohibited the use of social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook and Youtube due to security reasons.
Protestors were gathered in different cities of Pakistan to attacl public buildings, military houses againt PDM and government. Taking in consideration about the security reasons and to stop protestors from creating violence, PTA banned the social networking sites.
