Pakistani superstar Humayun Saeed has been roped in to play Dr Hasnat Khan in Season 5 of the Netflix series ‘The Crown’. With this, Humayun Saeed has become the only Pakistani actor to make it to a Netflix original.
He will play Princess Diana’s love interest in the forthcoming season of the hugely popular award-winning drama.
The prominent Pakistani star was showered with praises from over and across the acting fraternity.
Dr Khan is a British-Pakistani surgeon who practised at Royal Brompton Hospital in London.

Khan said he was in a relationship with the Princess from 1995-1997. He said she broke up with him after meeting Dodi Fayed with Mohammed Al Fayed and his family.
In his statement, submitted from Pakistan, Dr Khan said he considered a life with Diana, but the press hounded her every move would have made it untenable. Khan said he believed that the sole solution was to move to Pakistan. Diana had discussed the scenario with Jemima Goldsmith. Jemima was married to Pakistani cricketer Imran Khan and had moved to Pakistan. It is pertinent to state that Imran Khan is currently the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Humayun Saeed will be playing opposite Elizabeth Debicki – the People’s Princess in the show’s upcoming season. Soon after the news was confirmed, politicians and fellow industry peers congratulated the Meray Paas Tum Ho star.
“Congratulations to Humayun upon becoming the first Pakistani to be cast in a Netflix original series. Wish you all the best for playing Dr Hasnat Khan opposite Elizabeth Debecki who will play Lady Diana,” PTI’s Faisal Javed Khan wrote on Twitter.
Mahira Khan congratulated her Bin Roye co-star. “Finally it’s out! I am so proud and so excited! What a show! What a star.”
