Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has offered to mediate between the two sides in the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The proposal was made at a press conference after a cabinet meeting in Ankara.

Erdogan stressed the importance of a free and independent Palestine and how its presence is crucial for regional peace. As part of its commitment to the crisis, Turkey is also preparing humanitarian aid for Gaza.

In a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Isaac Herzog, Erdogan called on Israel to stop its indiscriminate attacks on Palestinian lands. He expressed concern for the loss of Gazans and warned of further violence.

Erdogan also urged all parties involved, including Hamas, to adhere to moral standards during the conflict. He emphasized the importance of acting responsibly in these difficult times.

Erdogan has been actively involved in diplomacy, contacting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati to help resolve the crisis.

At a subsequent press conference, Erdogan called for an immediate end to rocket attacks on Israeli cities and any persecution of Israeli citizens. He emphasized that all sides must observe moral boundaries in war.
