Under the Clean and Green Energy mission of Special Investment Facilitation Council, efforts are underway to promote green energy production.

According to reports, a GW3 solar power plant has been installed by a US based company in Karachi, Pakistan. It is rumoured that the company is helping build manufacturing of solar panels and electric vehicles manufacturing plants.

International hands such as the World Bank and the Saudi Fund are helping Pakistan by approving a $150 million project in the clean energy sector. This has been the result due to the increasing power shortage in the South Asian country. These projects would help solve the crisis to an  extent as 70 megawatts of clean energy is to be produced by the hydro electric project. The power plant is set to be in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir as per reports.

Pakistan top brass from the military, chief ministers and PM Shehbaz Sharif would conduct a meeting in order to discuss the important matters relating to the project.

The project has been approved by the federal government and implementation charges have been given to SIFC (Special Investment Facilitation Committee), Pakistan as per the recommendations.
