Current government of Pakistan is focused on announcing different youth programmes and funding schemes for Pakistani youth in the ongoing election year. A series of schemes were announced by government for youth, worth of Rs 150bn in total.
As elections are near, a total of 15 different schemes are announced, some of them are already inaugurated while some are bound for next year. All the projects are announced under the Prime Minister’s Youth Development Initiative.

The 15 developmental projects for youth includes 60000 internships, 10000 youth technical and vocational training institutes, 5000 scholarships for students of Balochistan and Fata, 1000 PhD scholarships at 100 US universities, 75 worldwide scholarships, 250 sports complexes, 75 leadership awards and 500 innovation grants and uplift of 20 underdeveloped districts in Pakistan.
Empowerment through Education
The Two-Third of Pakistan population comprises of young people who can only be empowered through modern technical skills and education. The socio-economic development of country is only possible through youth participation in country.
Prime Minister’s Ba-Ikhtiyar Noujawan Internship Programme is one of the largest internship scheme of Pakistan which aims to address the key barriers in enhancing youth development and employment.
60000 internships are provided to young people and fresh graduates both in private and public sector. 30000 internships are for public sector and remaining are for private industrial sector.

For the first time in history of Pakistan, any government decided to uplift the 20 poorest districts of country with Rs 40bn project. All the development initiatives are pursuing from this April and some of it are already completed.
