The United States has promised to help Pakistan to handle its big debt problem. Pakistan is trying to get a new Loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The United States says it will help Pakistan to tackle  the situation and efforts to deal with its Heavy debt load.

Matthew Miller, who is A spokesperson from the US State Department,  said that Pakistan has been working to make its Economy more stable. Matthew Miller also mentioned that the United States supports Pakistan’s efforts to deal with its difficult Debt situation. Matthew Miller also encouraged Pakistan to keep making Economic reforms to handle its Financial problems.

Matthew Miller added that the United States is fully behind Pakistan’s Economic success and will keep working with Pakistan. They are planning to help Pakistan with Technical agreements. They will also help in trade and investment as well which are important for the Relationship between the two countries.

The US also praised Pakistan’s agreement with the IMF on the final review under a billion loan arrangement. If the IMF’s board approves it, Pakistan will get about.1 billion to help its struggling economy.

Pakistan’s Finance Minister, Muhammad Aurangzeb, is currently in the US for meetings with the IMF and attending World Bank meetings. Pakistan is asking the IMF for a new loan deal and they are hoping to get between  to 8 billion through climate finance.

Before going to the US, the head of the IMF, Kristalina Georgieva, said that Pakistan had been doing well with its current IMF programme. She mentioned that Pakistan might ask for another loan deal to keep its progress going. While Pakistan works on its financial issues, it can count on support from the United States and international financial institutions like the IMF.
