The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief and former prime minister, Imran Khan, has taken a big step by going to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to fight against the suspension of his bail in the Toshakhana and 190 million pounds cases. This is an important development and people are talking about it.

The Tosha khana case is about accusations of misusing fancy and valuable gifts that were given to former Prime Ministers Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari during their time in office. Imran Khan, who is Ex  Prime Minister of Pakistan, is accused of selling the gift  and this has led to legal trouble for him.

On August 10, Imran Khan’s interim bail in the Toshakhana and 190 million pounds cases was canceled by the accountability court because he didn’t show up.

Imran Khan has been in jail since August 5 because of his conviction in the Toshakhana case. But later, the Islamabad High Court said that his conviction was not valid.

The Islamabad High Court, led by Chief Justice Aamir Farooq, has released a short order saying that Imran Khan should be released on bail from Attock Jail. The detailed reasons for this decision will be given later.

Imran Khan has asked the Islamabad High Court to overturn the accountability court’s decision against him.

Before this, another court, called the anti-terrorism court (ATC), also rejected Imran Khan’s bail requests in three cases because he couldn’t come to court.
