International Billiards and Snooker Federation – (IBSF) World Snooker Championship was first held in 1963 at Kolkata, India. It is a non-professional snooker tournament conducted around the world annually. The previous IBSF championship was held at Doha, Qatar and the winner of that tournament was Ali Alobaidli who is from Qatar. In the IBSF World Snooker Championship Pakistan snooker players have won the title four times and have become runner-up two times.

IBSF World Snooker Championship 2024 is held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on Saturday (September 21). Around 40 players are coming to this snooker championship from around the world. In IBSF World 6 Red Snooker Championship Asjad Iqbal, who is ranked at 83 and Awais Muneer who is ranked 2nd in Pakistan are participating duo among the 40 players. These 40 players are divided into 10 groups and the top two players of each group will be selected for the knockout round. For the last 16 rounds will be directly played by the 10 group winners and two best second placed players. The playoff will be conducted for the remaining 8 second-placed players for the last eight spots.
The dominant duo Asjad Iqbal and Awais Muneer will play their opening matches on Saturday, September 21 against Mongolia. The upcoming matches of this duo are conducted on September 22 and 23 respectively.
