police busting drug gang in punjab universities major victory in anti narcotics operation
In a recent victory against drug-related activities in Punjab, the Anti-Narcotics Department of Punjab Police successfully busted a notorious drug gang operating within educational institutions across the city. The operation took place in Lahore’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal area. Which led to the arrest of five individuals, including two women, identified as Shahroz, Shamila, Rafat Bibi, Muhammad Akbar, and Muhammad Afzal.
The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) shared that these suspects were allegedly involved in running drug operations within educational institutions. The police also told that the arrested individuals faced multiple drug-related charges. During the operation, a significant quantity of Hashish and Heroin which is valued at millions, was confiscated from their possession.

This is not the first time that police have arrested drug dealers.. In June of this year, the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) successfully foiled a drug smuggling attempt at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore. During a countrywide operation against drug trafficking, the ANF and Airports Security Force (ASF) apprehended an individual who had swallowed capsules filled with drugs. Four hashish-filled capsules were recovered from the suspect’s stomach.
