Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) weather forecast predicts more rainfall across Pakistan and snow in high and hilly areas in the next 24 hours. This weather system, according to authorities, has the potential to disrupt normal lives, especially in the mountainous and northern regions. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Islamabad, and even in some parts of Punjab and Balochistan, the PMD predicts increased rainfall with wind and thunderstorms. The PMD has also predicted higher rainfall and given a warning of the possible landslides and avalanches in prone areas in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Most parts of Sindh will continue to be cold and dry, but the PMD predicts further rainfall in northeastern Punjab and northern Balochistan.
