Prime Minister Imran Khan has wished a speedy recovery for President Trump and first-lady Melania Trump after they tested positive for Covid-19.

PM Khan, sharing a picture with Trump and Melania, said “Wishing President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump speedy recovery from COVID-19.”

President Trump on Friday morning announced that he along with Melania had tested positive for coronavirus and was undergoing quarantine. Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER, he said on his Twitter account.

Trump testing positive for Coronavirus puts the presidential race in a limbo as he will have to be isolated for almost two weeks which would significantly affect the timelines and campaigns.

He has been known to ridicule those wearing masks and has called the pandemic as cold and claimed it would disappear quickly. Meanwhile, he had also failed to enforce lockdowns in the US on fears that it would hurt the economy.

As of now, more than 200,000 people have died from the Covid-19 in the country as the US has been one of the worst affected countries in the world.

Trump at his first presidential debate with the Democratic candidate Joe Biden mocked him for wearing masks everywhere he met and claimed that the Covid would soon be brought under control.

He also said that a vaccine was also under development and it will help reduce the number of positive cases across the country.

The speech has brought the heat upon Trump as most of the polls showed him falling behind Biden in terms of support. The speech was probably one of the most disorderly ones in the history of US as both candidates were seen interrupting and mocking eachother.
