The PCB has released their mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed and uncapped top order batsman Kamran Ghulam from their squad for the first test at Rawalpindi against Bangladesh. Pak will play two test matches against Bangladesh scheduled to start on 21st August.

The 2nd and final match will be held at Karachi in the National Stadium from 30th August without the audience as the stadium is under maintenance for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2024.

According to weather reports, rain will play spoilsport during the 1st test match and the Pak team is expected to be packed with fast bowlers due to this reason.

The PCB has released a press release where they stated, “Wrist Spinner Abrar Ahmed has been released from the Pakistan test side, and he will now represent Pakistan Shaheens in the second four day match against Bangladesh A, which will start at Islamabad Club on Tuesday 20th August “.

Uncapped top order batter Kamran Ghulam is the other player who has been dropped from the Pak Test side but according to the statements, he is leading the Pakistan Shaheens against the Bangladesh A side in the 4 day match.

This means that the Pak team has been trimmed to 15 players in the main 2 tests but will be back to its original strength of 17 players after the conclusion of the 2nd four day match.

Bangladesh will be led by Najmul Hossain Shanto and their star opener Mahmudul Hasan will be missing out of the WTC due to a groyne injury while Pakistan is to be led by Shan Masood. Saud Shakeel will be the Vice Captain of the team while Amir Jamal is not  fully fit and would be available subject to fitness.

Sarfaraz Ahmed, Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi are the three big guns to be there playing the two tests.
