Anum Khan wins Award for global police service in Dubai

Pakistani police officer Anum Khan has made the country proud by winning the ‘Excellence in Criminal Investigation award at the 2025 World Police Summit Awards held in Dubai.

Anum, who is stationed at the Sargodha City Police Station, was recognized for her outstanding leadership in solving two series of high-profile murder cases in Punjab. The range of this event was tremendous with security leaders and experts from more than 90 countries in attendance showcasing Pakistani Police working at the global level. Anum Khan was the award recipient from over 900 entries around the world.

She has led the investigation into the murder of 12-year-old Ayesha Bibi and completed arrests within 72 hours of the complaint.

In another case, Anum Khan also led the investigation into the murder of Mohsin and made arrests within 24 hours of the murder. Anum Khan’s work was recognized by the Chief Minister of Punjab and officers of Punjab police. The World Police Summit is one of the foremost international platforms honoring excellence in global law enforcement. Anum Khan said, upon receiving the award:

“This is a proud moment for Pakistan and the Punjab police, and it reflects the way the Punjab police is committed to justice and that, indeed, officers are capable of meeting an international policing standard. I dedicate this award to my team and our values.”
