Pakistan Revises Petrol And Diesel Prices With New Rates Effective Today

Pakistan petrol price

Pakistan has cut down the Pakistan petrol price with effect from October 6, 2026, after a change in international oil and Platts market prices. Petrol price was hiked by Rs 0.88 a litre to Rs 393.64 a litre from Rs 392.76.

High-speed diesel has dropped by Rs 1.88 a litre to Rs 397.76 from Rs 399.64 in the reverse direction. The latest adjustment creates a small divergence in the movement of the two major petroleum products, but also reflects changes in international pricing trends.

Fuel prices mirror international market movements

The latest revision follows developments in international petroleum markets, with global oil and Platts prices impacting domestic fuel calculations. Fluctuations in international prices can have an impact on import costs in Pakistan and, consequently, on transportation, agriculture and the economy at large.

The government continues to levy taxes and duties of Rs 114 per litre on petrol and Rs 100 per litre on diesel. The new tariffs will thus remain a key component for households, businesses and transport operators as Pakistan navigates domestic fuel prices and changing international energy situations.
