(C)ProPakistani, nadra launches doorstep cnic service in major cities
NADRA has launched a revolutionary “Biker Service” that brings computerized national identity card processing to the very doorstep of citizens’ homes and offices. Launched first in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, this service saves citizens hours of sitting in long queues outside NADRA offices. A resident simply needs to dial 1777 and make a booking for a NADRA representative to visit their premises, process their CNIC application, and then deliver the completed card at their doorstep.
Streamlined Application Process
NADRA Biker Service wants to eliminate the mess of queues and long office hours to alter the CNIC application process. This is the era of convenience, and hence, an appointment can be made through the helpline number 1777 and then have a conversation with a service representative at NADRA. After this appointment, a trained biker from NADRA would visit the required location to process the application-new CNIC or update existing ones.
The fee for these new CNICs is Rs 1,500, with the service charge of Rs 1,000. The payment aspect of NADRA has been made lenient, and it will accept both card payment as well as cash payment to suit everybody’s preference. It will pay for its own personalized service in full while ensuring access.
Growing Reaches Nationwide
The NADRA Biker Service is already working in Rawalpindi and Islamabad as the pilot cities for this new concept of government services. It is due to the success of the project in these locations that NADRA has prepared to roll out the service in other major cities of Pakistan. Within the near future, a citizen can expect the same hassle-free, time-saving service in all other major cities.
The Biker Service expansion remains in complete synchrony with NADRA’s mission to bring about more ease and efficiency in the processing of identity documents. In short, NADRA has added both convenience and participation by bringing these fundamental services to the door of the citizen.
