The Ministry of Interior announced Eid holidays in Pakistan starting from 21st of April to 25th of April but Federal government is planning to announce more holidays for people to enjoy the occasion of Eid ul Fits fully.
Government is planning to extend five holidays to six starting from 20th of April to 25th of April. According to Ruet e Hilal Reseaech Committee, Eid ul Fitr is likely to be observed on 22nd April on saturday, and Friday would be Jumat ul Widah.

Moon Sighting in Pakistan
The Ruet e Hilal Committee is set to sit on Thursday 20th of April for moon sighting. The birth of moon is expected to occur on Thursday April 20th at 9:13 am according to Pakistan time.
In the evening of 29th of Ramadan, the moon age is expected to be more than 19 hours, but in most areas of Pakistan it will be less than 10 hours as difference between the sunset and moonset is 40 minutes.

The difference between moonset and sunset in Peshawar, Gilgit, Rawalpindi, Charsadda and Muzaffarabad is expected to be 21 minutes. While Lahore and Karachi are expecting 20 minutes of difference in moonset and sunset.
