Canada born Bollywood icon Nora Fatehi recently opened up, that she was not paid for her hit dance songs like ‘Dilbar’ and ‘Kamariya’, she was in tremendous financial crunch during that period. The young dancer-actor, now one of the most successful and popular young artists in the industry said she faced hardships in her initial days in the country to pay for even her food or rent.

Kamariya song in the movie Stree was also a hit in the same year 2018 after which Fatehi rose to fame from the song Dilbar from the movie Satyameva Jayate. However, Fatehi said she recorded those songs for free because she never hesitated to work with a reputed company like T-series or Maddock films rather than earning money.

The performer revealed situations of financial difficulties at this time, and they affected their health. ”I went through a phase where I was so skinny and borderline anorexic because I didn’t have money to eat much,” she admitted, saying that some agencies in the industry exploit foreign models.

Fatehi has not given up and she is still extending her arm in the India film industry. Presently she is looking forward to her film in the Telugu cinema industry with the movie ‘Matka’ with Varun Tej and Meenakshi Chaudhary. Her visit in Kunal Khemu’s directorial venture ‘Madgaon Express’ has gone on to strengthen her claim of being a versatile actor in Bollywood.

It captures how the dreams of the struggling artist shift to a successful performer, which is the story every beginner in a precarious industry wants to tell. However, Fatehi received financial exploitation and hardship while studying in Australia; however, the strategic career choice and commitment contributed towards her success story.
