GT20 Canada will be back after a gap of four years with its third edition on July 20 in Brampton, Canada. The total of six teams will feature in the tournament which will span 18 days and 25 matches.
The player draft of the tournament took place on June 14 in Mumbai from each franchise attending the event, some of them were present physically and some of them attended it virtually.

Yuvraj Singh, Chris Gayle, Lasith Malinga and other T20 Superstars have participated in the previous two seasons of the tournament. This season will see the new set of former top cricketers including Harbhajan Singh, Shahid Afridi, Andre Russell and other greats of the game.
Player Draft Rules for GT20
Each team is playing in player draft with a purse of US$ 579,500 and squad limit is set at 16 players for each team. Each team could have six international players including two marquee stars, four players from Associate Nations and six Canadians.

The tournament will go a long way in providing a platform for Canadian Cricketers to lock horns with international stars and improve their games and take Canadian Cricket forward.
