The caretaker federal government in Pakistan has implemented a reduction in petrol and diesel prices, providing a momentary relief for consumers. As of the recent announcement the Petrol Price has been Decreased by Rs2.04 per litre, diesel by Rs6.47 per litre, kerosene oil by Rs6.05 per litre, and light-speed Diesel (LSD) by Rs9.01 per litre.

The revised Prices are as follows, Petrol at Rs281.34 per litre, diesel at Rs296.71 per litre, kerosene oil at Rs204.98 per litre, and light-speed diesel (LSD) at Rs180.45 Per litre. This move follows a previous substantial reduction in petrol prices in mid-October when the government cut rates by a notable Rs40 per litre.

Earlier in October the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had fixed the petrol price at Rs283.38 per litre after the significant reduction. The Prices of high-speed diesel (HSD) and kerosene oil were also lowered with HSD dropping by Rs15 per litre to Rs303.18 and kerosene Oil decreasing by Rs22.43 Per litre to Rs214.85.

Despite the previous reduction, petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged on November 1 for a period of 15 days. However, this recent adjustment provides further relief for consumers as the country grapples with economic challenges.

The decrease in kerosene oil price by Rs3.82 to Rs211.3 per litre and light diesel by Rs3.4 to Rs189.46 per litre further adds to the measures aimed at easing the financial burden on the public.
