Pakistan’s First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari praised the United Arab Emirates for more female employment opportunities and realizations in the service sector, at the Global Women’s Forum Dubai (GWFD 2024). In an exclusive interview with Al Arabiya’s Hadley Gamble, she stressed the relevance of global forums in formulating policies What makes the United Nations unique is that it is an international forum where we are developing policies that help support women and their roles in leadership and the development of societies.
According to WAM, The world’s first First Lady, the daughter of the former Pakistan Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto, talked about global problems, that women have to solve, such as inequality, security issues, and restricted access to health care and education. She fiercely insisted on the fact that women have to do twice as much to get half as much attention as men, but at the same time, women are a very strong driving force that is capable of turning the world in a different direction. She said her message was about the need for more spaces that can allow women to be impactful and serve society.
This is why Zardari’s leadership philosophy includes visions of purpose, steadfastness, and service as opposed to entitlement. However, she called upon all females and young women to speak up, to struggle, and to make a stand for justice and opportunity for others. The First Lady said the UAE in a very special way realizing that it has taken the mantle of setting the pace for other nations to emulate and the world must foster environments where women may learn, lead, and advance society beneficially through education, compassion, and endurance.
